Do I need a Mac?
No. Nothing about building, signing or submitting either app happens on your computer. You need a browser and, for testing, a phone.
Why do I need my own Apple and Google developer accounts?
Because Apple requires it. App Store Review Guideline 4.2.6 says apps built from a template service must be submitted by the provider of the app's content — that is you, not us. We are allowed to do the work; we are not allowed to be the publisher.
It is also better for you. The listing, the reviews, the ratings and the download history belong to your business. If you ever leave us, the app stays where it is and keeps working.
How long until the app is live?
Design takes an afternoon. The build takes about twenty minutes. Apple's review is usually one to three days, Google's one to seven.
The real clock is your developer accounts. A business Apple or Google account needs a D-U-N-S number, which is free but can take up to two weeks to come back — and Google warns it can take up to thirty days. Start that on your first day; everything else runs in parallel with it.
Will Apple reject a white-label app?
They reject look-alike apps and thin web wrappers. Bunyawi apps are neither: the navigation, product pages, cart and account screens are native, and the design editor exists specifically so that two merchants' apps do not look the same. If a review question does come back, it comes to us and we answer it.
Does cash on delivery work properly?
Yes. The app does not run a checkout of its own — it opens your Shopify checkout with the cart and the customer's details already in it. So COD works in the app for exactly the same reason it works on your website: it is one of the payment methods your store has configured.
That also means Shop Pay, cards and wallets, your shipping rates, your taxes, your discount codes and Shopify's abandoned-checkout emails all keep working, with nothing extra for you to set up. We prefill the phone, the country and the address so a COD order is still only a few taps.
What about Arabic?
The whole app mirrors: navigation slides the other way, carousels scroll the other way, prices and quantities sit where an Arabic reader expects them. Your Shopify translations come in automatically, and you can override any single string — including push notification copy — in the dashboard.
This is on the $49 plan, and on every plan. It is the main reason this product exists.
Can I change the design after the app is live?
Yes, as often as you like, and without a new release. Colours, home sections, tabs, banners, strings and prices all come from a configuration the app fetches when it opens. A change is live in about a minute. Only the app icon, the name and the splash screen need a new build, because those are baked into the binary.
What happens when I cancel?
Uninstall Bunyawi in your Shopify admin. Billing stops that day — there is nothing to email us about, no notice period and no cancellation form.
Your published apps stay in the stores under your accounts. They will keep showing whatever the app last cached; to take them down, unpublish them in App Store Connect and the Play Console. We keep your data for thirty days in case you come back, then delete it.
Am I locked in?
No, and not by accident — by structure. The apps are published under your Apple and Google accounts, so there is no listing of ours for you to prise away. Leave us and the apps stay exactly where they are, with their reviews, ratings and install base, under your own name.
Compare that with a vendor who publishes under their own account: getting your app back needs their active cooperation on both stores, and on Google Play it needs the transaction ID from their original $25 receipt. If you are on one of those today, tell us — moving an app across accounts loses its push certificates unless someone re-provisions them, and we will do that with you as part of onboarding.
Do you take a percentage of my sales?
No. No revenue share, no per-order fee, no band that moves when you have a good month. Several vendors in this category do all three.
Can I try it before my developer accounts exist?
Yes. Install, design the whole app and watch it in the live preview on your own phone during the free trial. The developer accounts are only needed at the moment you want it in the stores.
